Following Intuitive Nudges To Expand Creative Expression
Developing an active Sacred Intuitive Creative Practice is not just about painting. When we show up on a regular basis to deepen our connection with our creative expression, it becomes a way of life in and out of the Studio.
Sometimes, it is an invitation to show up differently in our lives than our usual automatic way of being—trying something new, leaning in to explore a new idea, or approaching something from a different perspective.
For instance, today a persistent inner voice invited me to go into my Vimeo account and explore what was there. It’s been a long while since I last looked around in there.
My recent illness caused a long break from creating online recordings and offerings. During this past year or so, recovering my health and energetic strength has been my main focus. It felt good to have the energy to follow my intuition and I am so glad I did.
Stepping Into the Flow
As I looked around, I felt drawn to the record button. Staying open and leaning into the idea, I noticed that something had shifted inside me. The old hesitations were gone.
This sparked a spontaneous flow into making a test recording. Realising this was a great opportunity to play, I wondered how my singing bowls sounded and if my voice showed up well.
I decided to share it here anyway, even with the audio bar right in the middle of the screen! 🙃 Haha ha!
It really doesn’t matter because it is all a practice! I’m just flowing with it, and I can thank my creative practice for helping me relax and trust my intuition.
Ultimately, showing up again and again to play with creative expression in the studio has a flow-on effect, where our nervous system relaxes and we become more relaxed in other areas of our lives.
This feels like such a beautiful gift reminding us to continue praticing our creative expression.
